CHEYENNE -- When the University of Arizona softball team won the 2001 NCAA Women's College World Series, star pitcher Jennie Finch threw 109 innings during that season, helping the Lady Wildcats pick up 18 of their 43 wins against four losses.

The 2001 total, during her junior year, was her smallest sum of innings during her four-year collegiate career in which she amassed 778 and two-third innings.
