Senate Panel Discusses Optional Sales Tax Bill

CHEYENNE -- A bill that would allow optional-penny sales taxes to be used in whole or in part for economic development may carry another provision soon.

House Bill 232, the follow-on legislation that would put Constitutional Amendment B in state law, has already passed out of the House of Representatives. In the Senate Minerals, Business and Economic Development Committee on Monday, lawmakers were talking about how the two local-option pennies might be split.
