CHEYENNE -- Some 75 occupational workers and six managers for Qwest Communications International were told during a meeting Wednesday they would lose their jobs by Sept. 1, a local union official said.
Angela Elliott, secretary-treasurer for Communications Workers of America Local 7601, said the employees based in the Yellowstone Road building's fifth floor were told there is a possibility they could be reassigned when the company closes its wholesale service center.
