CHEYENNE -- While three local religious leaders agree "The Passion of the Christ" is well made, each has a different perspective after seeing Mel Gibson's film.

The Rev. Raymond Moss of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Rev. Daniel Gadbaw of Our Savior Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and Cheryl Rap, assistant religious leader at Mount Sinai Synagogue, saw the film when it opened here Wednesday.

Divine Debate Local Religious Leaders Share Their Thoughts

Moss, Gadbaw and Rap shared their thoughts in the Feb. 22 Wyoming Tribune-Eagle about what they expected to see. After seeing the movie, all three said it would find an audience primarily among Christians.

"The target audience will be Christians who have forgotten who Jesus was," Moss said.

It's definitely a Catholic film, he said. After all, Gibson is a Catholic.
